Help in setting up training sessions

The Sportbeeper PRO, which was lauched 2 yeaes ago, has several new features compared to the first  generation of the Sportbeeper. For example, we can mention a larger screen and a more intuitive control panel. A new tab has appeared: the tab-odometer. We are going to talk about this last one which helps you to set up your trainings  sessions.

Explanation of the Tab-Odometer

As previously stated, the main goal of the tab-odometer is to help you with the implementation of intermittent exercises. It allows you to move away from Excel tables. The tab-odometer is a beige button on the right side of the Sportbeeper Pro where a wheel appears (). This technical tool is available for all intermittent exercises (cyclic, bicyclic, combined and cadenced 3.6 Gacon). It calculates and displays the distance to be covered. Before, you should have your athletes do a MAS test (which can be done with Sportbeeper Pro). The aim is to individualise the sessions or to organize them by level group. You should then base this on the percentage of your player’s MAS that you want to work on.

Example of the use of the tab odometer

For example, you set up a bicycle training with 10 seconds of work, 20 seconds of recovery  and 5 seconds of work and 25 secondes of recovery 10 times. If you want to work your athletes who has 18 of MAS at 100 % of it, he must cover 50 meters in 10 secondes and 25 meters in 5 secondes.

If the speed you want to achieve is not displayed on the screen, you can scroll through the table by pressing the arrows at the bottom of the Sportbeeper. The last screen displayed is kept in memory for all exercises in the unit.
